1. Who We are and what these terms cover
AltKit (the website altkit.app, its web app and its browser extension, together "the Service") is provided by Allan Charles Warsing, trading as Three Things Media, Härtingerstr. 29, 85051 Ingolstadt, Germany ("We", "Us"). Contact: support@threethingsmedia.net, +49 162 5972624. These terms apply to every use of the Service. How We handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy.
2. Who may use AltKit
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
3. What You get
AltKit is free. There is no paid plan and We do not ask for payment details.
- Demo without an account: visitors without an account can create 2 descriptions in the web form. We may change or end this allowance at any time.
- Account: with a free account You can create descriptions in the web app and the browser extension using our hosted AI, within the daily limit in section 5.
- Your own key: in the browser extension You can instead add an API key from an AI provider of Your choice, as described in section 6. This use is not counted against the daily limit.
Descriptions are produced automatically and can be wrong or incomplete; review them before You publish them (see the disclaimer).
4. Accounts
Accounts and sign-in are provided by Three Things Media Accounts. Keep Your sign-in details secret and tell us if You think someone else has used Your account. You can delete Your account at any time from the account page.
5. Fair use and daily limit
- The Service is free for personal use and normal professional use, for example describing the images You publish on Your own or Your employer's or clients' websites and social media accounts.
- Each account can create up to 100 descriptions per day with our hosted AI. The day runs from 00:00 to 24:00 UTC. Because hosted generation costs Us money, We may lower this limit, or suspend hosted generation for an account, for abuse or cost reasons. We will announce a general change to the limit on the website.
- You may not use the Service for automated bulk processing, scripts or bots, scraping, or reselling or otherwise offering it to third parties as part of Your own service. Do not create several accounts to get around the limit.
6. Using Your own AI provider key
If You add Your own API key in the browser extension, the extension sends the image directly from Your browser to the provider You chose. Your use of that provider is a matter between You and the provider: We are not a party to it, We do not see Your key or the images You send that way, and the provider's own terms, privacy policy and charges apply. You are responsible for keeping Your key safe and for any costs Your provider bills You.
7. Your content
You keep all rights to the images and text You submit. You allow us to process them only as far as needed to provide the Service, including sending images to our AI processor for hosted generation. You must have the right to submit every image and must not submit unlawful content or other people's personal data without a legal basis. The descriptions We generate for You are Yours to use.
8. Availability and changes to the Service
We aim to keep the Service available but cannot promise uninterrupted operation, for example during maintenance or outages of our providers. We may improve, change or end features.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaches these terms, including the fair use rules in section 5, after a warning unless the breach makes a warning unreasonable. You can stop using the Service and delete Your account at any time.
10. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act, and where We have given a guarantee. For slight negligence We are liable only for breach of an essential obligation (one whose fulfilment makes the use of the Service possible and on which You may rely), limited to the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of free service. Otherwise Our liability for slight negligence is excluded.
11. Law and disputes
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If You are a consumer living in another EU country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of that country still apply. We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
12. Changes to these terms
We will email account holders about changes at least 30 days before they take effect. If You object within that time, the old terms continue to apply to You until You or We end Your use of the Service; We will point this out in the email.
